It’s Pumpkin Spice Season

Pumpkin Spice Season

The leaves are turning, there is frost on the ground, and the pumpkin spice lattes are flowing in the coffee houses.

I love pumpkin spice lattes, they are my favorite flavor. I’m really excited that Costco has bottles of Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino for a limited time. I’ve stocked up. I’m also a huge fan of pumpkin spice flavored pastries such strudel, muffins, cookies, cheesecake, cupcakes, and bread. I was in Walmart last week and they had pumpkin spice flavored bagels. There is, however, too much of a good thing. The last time I went through the cleaning products isle at the local grocery store, there were various pumpkin spiced candles and room freshener. I’m almost afraid to explore the rest of the store. I might run into pumpkin spice shampoo, after shave, and body wash.

Oh well, it’s fall and the changing of the leaves is beautiful. My area has a lot of pine trees but there are still plenty of Tamaracks, Maples, and Beeches for a colorful display. This is also the time of year when I harvest the last of the vegetables from my garden and prepare for the long winter.

With the changing of the leaves comes the changing of my projects from outdoor to indoor. I love knitting, crocheting, and other crafts. Fall is a warm and cozy time and it’s also great for writing. I just finished two more books and I am starting a new one this week. I hope everyone enjoys the pumpkin spice season.
